2-day workshop
When Colour Breathes:
Florals in Soft Pastel
This workshop isn’t about painting every petal… it’s about noticing when colour begins to breathe.
Using florals as our starting point, we’ll explore soft shifts in colour, gentle edges, and marks that feel alive rather than forced. I’ll be guiding students to simplify, to see the big shapes first, and to build slowly — letting colour sit beside colour so the painting can open up naturally.
We’ll focus on warm and cool relationships, lost and found edges, and knowing when to stop… so the work keeps its freshness and light.
There will be demonstrations, simple guided exercises, and time for individual feedback throughout.
This workshop is suitable for beginners through to more experienced artists wanting to loosen up and paint with more feeling.
