About Patrick…

Patrick D. Harron is a British-born soft pastel artist based in Los Angeles, California.

Originally from London, Patrick's move to California introduced him to a diverse range of landscapes, from the dramatic coastline of the Pacific Coast Highway to the vast deserts, mountains, and open countryside found throughout the American West. These ever-changing environments have become a central inspiration in his work.

Having been drawn to landscapes from an early age, Patrick's passion for art developed into a full-time pursuit, with a particular focus on the expressive qualities of soft pastels. His work is largely impressionistic, combining loose, intuitive mark-making with simplified forms and a thoughtful use of colour. Rather than focusing on accurately recreating a particular location, he aims to capture the atmosphere and emotions associated with a place, leaving room for the viewer to bring their own memories and interpretations to each painting.

Patrick's work has been exhibited in numerous national and international pastel exhibitions, receiving awards including Best in Show at the 2026 Pikes Peak Pastel Society Luminosity Juried Show and Second Place at their 2025 Annual National Juried Show.
